Dear sirs
I have a problem.
An error message always show when my .htm file was opened that was
embed vbscript code inside.
The error message is "the control is not safe for scripting and
initialization".
Is there any way to disable alert default.
That's a internal PC that accessing internet is impossible and no
security issue should be taken care.
Thanx in advanced

Revising message above.
That's not an error message but a message box need to click Yes/No
Thanx.

Hi,
I think this is the Local Machine Zone Lockdown feature. There are three
workarounds:
1. Rename the .HTM file to .HTA while it's still on your HD. HTA files
aren't as restricted.
2. Give each page the "Mark of the Web"
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/workshop/author/dhtml/overview/motw.asp
3. Internet Options> Advanced> Security> check "Allow active content to run
in files on My Computer ."
You will, of course, be giving up some of the enhanced security of the XP
SP2 update.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for your response.
I've tried your suggestion but sth stranger to me.
I could not find "option" in the third suggestion.
My enviroment is w2k sp4 pro + ie6.0.2800.1106.
Thanks.

Sorry. I assumed that you were running XP SP2. Realizing the security
compromise... Try Internet Options> Security> {Zone} Set ActiveX Controls
items to enable or prompt.

You may have to change these settings in Internet Zone, Intranet Zone and
(possibly) Local Machine (My Computer) Zone.

Thanx for your knidly response.
I found that another warning message will pop when .htm was executed.
That's "An activex control on this page might be unsafe to interact
with other parts of the page. Do you want to allow this interaction?"
It makes script difficult to run, I have to click "yes" to permit it
every time.
Is there anyway to solve this problem?
Thanks.

Hi,
Again in Security> {Zone}> Custom (you may need to change these settings for
all zones.)

Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls- Disable.
All other choices under ActiveX controls and plug-ins- set to Enable.

Hope this helps,
