Can anyone tell me how to set up a distribution group with
external email addresses in it for everyone in the company
to use, but without me having to enter all the [external]
people as users.

Yes I know it's probly dead simple but I've only ever set
up internal distribution ists before and I just can't find
anywhere to do it: and the help system is uselses.

Thanks

Add common shared company contacts as an contact object in Active Directory,
put the contacts as members to our DistGroups.

Sarah,

I might suggest that you created mail-enabled contacts in AD then add them
to the Distribution Group in question. Take a look at the following article
by Mark Fugatt: http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/MF015.html

The first part of the article will help you to create the mail-enabled
contact. Once you have done that simply go to the Distribution Group and
make the mail-enabled contact a "member of" that group.

HTH,

Cary
