i looked around on the web, and found that amtrak are the satan of delivering.

has anyone had any problems with amtrak? should i have royal mail special delivery? how long does royal mail special delivery take?

buying from overclockers.co.uk btw!

Have had no problems whatsoever with Amtrack. Used them many many times, always deliver on time.

Initial [Sh](C)ity link on the other hand....

Stay away.

Isn't life funny ... Amthrax (sic), no way.

CityLink ... deliver my goods from both my main suppliers, on time (between 9.30-11am and usually before 10am) in good condition.

If I'm sending, I use the Royal Mail. :thumb:

Bad Experience with every courrier apart from UPS (who seem to be the only one who hand me duty/tax notices). Big problems with DHL on some occasions, but on others they have been quite good!

Never had anything go wrong with Royal Mail Special Delivery though.

Id go royal mail special del. I like parcel force though, only cause i can call them "ar**hole force" or "parcel farce".

My favourite is Royal Mail & Parcel Force (are they one and the same?). The fact that they're good constantly surprises me, but they are.

I've had problems with Amtrak, they were awful, but they seem to be a little better lately.

A lot of the problems stem from the individual driver of each delivery vehicle from what I've been able to gather.

It's a competitive world in the parcel delivery business, and Amtrak, because of their competitive rates, probably don't pay their delivery drivers too well.

Which means usually that the driver ain't too concerned about doing his job right.

Although having said that, the last fella who delivered for Amtrak was a real good 'un, polite and good humoured and helpful. Maybe he was on a promise for that evening, I dunno, but he was good ;)

What surprise me about Amthrax, is, it's a franachise ... you'd think they would try a little harder to keep your business.
