Amount To Words

I know this is old and I am sorry to ask but since the company block the
access to the port 80 we have only newsgroup access (witch still is very
good!)
simple question I need a procedure or function that return me a amount in
words and accept an amount value; like the one that we use for writing
checks. if someone has the rutine please help me with it.

If you want to count words in a text file this thread may and similar

I believe George is looking for code to conver the number 1234 to the string
"one thousand two hundred thirty four". The procedures for doing such are
quite vague though, as I may choose to convert the above to "twelve hundred
thirty four".
