Amount of data between RDP client and host

Does anyone know how much data is exchanged between the RDP client and the
RDP host when the connection is not in use (idle)? The company I work for
report a list of top-internet users and I don't want to occur on that list
when accessing computers outside their network ;-)

Thanks in advance,
Jan

There should be very little. To quote from MSFT...

"Remote Desktop works well even under low bandwidth conditions because all
your applications are hosted on the terminal server. Only keyboard, mouse,
and display information are transmitted over the network."

Beyond that you really need to be careful. You may be violating company
policies by connecting your home untrusted network to the work trusted
network.

Thanks for your quick response, Al.

Your point about abusing company rules is very much taken. I don't mean it
very harmful, but nevertheless ...

What about network traffic when there is no control from the client but the
connection is still up?

Thanks,
Jan

I really can't answer that beyond to say there will be a connection present
so the network police will be able to see that and possibly take action.
