Hi

is it possible that my athlon X2 3800+ without load (xp just working) has
temperature between 82 and 89F ? its not overclocked, and has a standard
heatsink and cooler

regards

Sounds about right.

Under 100% load my 4600+ is at 44C/111F using stock cooling and
voltages.

You mean celsius-Yes?
If you actually mean 89 Celsius then it's much too hot.

Most running AMDs run anywhere from 30 - 60 degrees C. If yours is really
running at 89 degrees Farenheit then it sounds like it may be running
outside at the North Pole in mid-winter,

That's darn cold, if farenheit, and fatally hot if centegrade. Hope
it's farenheit.

It's possible. What happens if you leave it ON for a few hours? Or put
a sustained load on it?
