I have this card, and it works fine in windows XP. Now I'm trying to have
some experience with windows vista, but I can't install it. I have some
mesage like that: Windows found driver software for you device but
encountered an error while attempting to install it. AMD PCnet-home Based
Adapter.
The required line was not found in the INF.

I'm using the driver for Windows XP.

Does someone can help me? Or I must wait until the final version of vista?

Thanks by the moment.

Check with the card manufacturer to see if they have a vista driver for that
card.

Sorry, but this was the first thing I did, that's so simple.

I'm not sure what you mean, but if you checked with them and they don't have
vista drivers and the XP drivers don't work then it won't work in Vista.
It's best to include in your post what you have tried to avoid this kind of
situation.

Well, as I wrote, the Vista recognize that card, try to install it but it
seems not to be exactly as it need.
So, I believe I need to wait until the Vista final version, if some can be
final, and look for the solution of this trouble.

Thanks.

The inf message sounds like the message you might get with vista x64. If
the card is old you may have to replace it with one known to have a Vista
driver.
