Amd or intel?

Im planing on making a computer but i got stuck
because i cant figure out what cpu i should get, the
AMD Athlon 64 3400+or the Intel P4 3.0GHz.

I would actually go with AMD, the 3500, or 3700 is probably not that more expensive than the 3400

go with the amd you will definately get more for your money and if you are a gamer they are the superiour processor over the intels

no there 64 bit processors run at 2.0ghz but the 3200+ is equivelent to a 3.2ghz intel and the 3400+ is the equivelent to the intel 3.4ghx etc..

AMD for sure. Make sure is a 939 socket.
