They`re coming!!! But.... are they likely to be worth it??? Plus.... the Athlon 64 4000+ was released yesterday as far as I know...

Sorry, this post is pointless, i`m kinda excited. Sad really......

Have been waiting for AMD to come out with PCI-E compatability. Now all they have to do is be affordable.

PCI-E isn't great at the moment, neither is DDR2.

Wait a while. You probably will anyway considering the prices of things when they are released...

Chris unhappily remembers paying £240 for his ATI Radeon 9800pro 128mb in january. Yep thats right. Less than 1 year ago, and now they are LESS than HALF that price. He weeps. Oh how he wishes an X800XT would just fall out of the sky and land softly on his bed...

What about the Nvidia 6600? or the X800 for PCI-E? Those are pretty good... and the 6600 is not a bad price. Am thinking specifically of a 939 pin Athlon 3200+. The NForce4 mobo will prob be the killer. I agree with you about DDR2 though. Not worth it.

I'm not sure what the difference between an AGP8x X800pro and a PCI-E X800pro is but i'm pretty sure theres not much in it.

Athlon 64 are good for gaming. Compare the 3200+ 64bit to a 3.0GHz prescott

Your right Reefsmoka, but what about when Half-life 2 comes out? will it finally beat out the GT?
who knows...
And Chris, sorry about your video card woes (*heh*)
