AMD CPU Naming Question

Hello,

I was wondering about the AMD CPUs that are supposed to be 2.17 ghz, but
also have a 2700+ next to their names. Are the supposed to be equal in
performance to an Intel 2.7 ghz?

Yes (supposed to be), although I've see benchmarks on the 2400 that say it's
about equivalent to a 2G.
