AMD Calculator v1.0.0.1

I set my K8 Winnie 3200+ to 8x in the bios and clocked at 240. On bootup
CrystalCPUID grabs it and varies it between 5x, 7x, and 10x.

If I lock it at 10x using Crystal, then start the AMD Calculator, it thinks
it's at 8x. It is apparently reading the bios setting, not the actual
multiplier.

BTW I boot at 8x because I let Crystal vary the voltage with speed, so I
have to have the voltage on auto in the bios, and if I booted overclocked
the cpu wouldn't have enough voltage to not make mistakes until Crystal
grabbed it. Crystal can only overvolt it a little to 1.45, but it's enough
for 240, where the value ram comes up from 166 to 200.

It shows my A64 mobile 3200+ as being at 2000MHz @1.35v, when it is at
800MHz @ .950v. I also have only PC2700 RAM which it is showing @ 200MHz
(verified on other utilities as being 166MHz). Like Ed Light posted, it is
certainly not reading actual realtime information from systems (or at least
all systems). It certainly has some promise if all bugs are worked out
though.

It's a calculator, not CPU-Z :)

Read the read me file.......
Start the AMD Calc and adjust the top 4 values to your systems stock
settings. Adjust all other values where needed to figure your
overclocking percentages.

By default the calc starts with the Ram MHz and Ram divider set to 200
for PC3200 (DDR400).

Latest version can be downloaded from ,

So it's supposed to show the bios settings, then? After entering everything
it showed the bios settings, unrelated to what I had entered.

No, it's just a dumb calculator to show the percentages you are
overclocking the vcore, vdimm, bus, cpu and ram.

If you have an Opteron, FX or X2 it tries to figure out the bus speed
when you are overclocking the CPU, it doesn't know if you lowered the
multiplier or not, so basically just like a calculator you have to enter
all the data in to get any meaningful answers out.

Other than that I was just bored and some guys asked me to make it for
them, so I took a crack at it. It's written in VB6(SP5), so no hardware
calls or BIOS reading, etc.

btw, Opteron and FX was added in version 1.0.0.2.
