AMD Athlon 1800+ MS8366-8244 Mobo

Will this motherboard take a 1Gb of memory in both the A0 and the A1
slot. I am running version 1.6 I think of the BIOS but the machine on
boot will only see 131mb of memory and dxdiag only reports the same.
Have tried swaping over slots but machine at time refuses to boot
without 256 in slot A1. Never flashed a BIOS before so dont want to
screw up my system even if I could locate a newer version of the BIOS
to resolve the memory issue. Help needed please.

Tried googling your mb # but got no hits. Tried going to MSI site with mb #
and still got nothing. This is an MSI mb? If not then who is the
manufacturer?

Do you have the manual available to check memory size configuration specs?
If not then can you go to the maker's website to download it and check?

In regards to flashing the bios, it would be worthwhile to at least go to
the maker's site and check to see what newer bioses changed in comparison to
the one that is current on your mb.
