AMD 64 3.0GHZ or P4 2.6GHZ "c" over clocked to 3.3ghz

should I go with the 64 bit cpu or the overclocked P4? I use my pc for high
end games like farcry. will the 32bit games run faster on the 64 processor,
or should I just look for clock speed??
 
I was in a similar dilemma a few weeks ago.

I ended up getting a 2600mobile and an Abit NF7- currently 2450mhz
with a cruddy heatsink, plays Far Cry considerably better than my
'old' P4 3gig northwood. What made this so awesome?

Abit NF7: $66
2600m: $92

Those prices are from NewEgg. I eneded up spending just over $160 to
build a great gaming rig. And although thats only 2450mhz, thats
faster than a 3400XP operates. at much lower cost.

how is that? just a quirk of that chip? surely and extra 600mhz of clock
speed has to be better?
