I have a asus a7n8x amd 2600+ 333fsb with 256 centon pc2700 memory.
The bios is at the latest level. The bios will only detect the
processor at
1150 MHz (100 x 11.5). The computer will not run at (166 x 11.5) ~
1990. Do you think the memory is the problem, or cooling?

Try running the FSB at 133, or 150, or... (with memory in synch)

Try running the FSB at 166MHz, with the memory at 133MHz.

Try running the FSB at 133MHz, and the memory at 166MHz.

When you say your computer "will not run", does it post? Does it boot
windows?

The computer will boot and run at 133. It will boot but freeze and
shut it self off if the fsb is set to anything higher.

OK then... change the 133 to 100 in the above text...
