Amazingly Slow IE6

I have IE6 and the latest patches with a DSL connection. For the past
couple of weeks, browsing has been unbelievably slow. For example, to get
from my home page to microsoft .com took exactly 56 seconds. It is like
this with every button or link that I click. I tested my connection speed
and it is super fast. When I download music or large files, it is lightning
fast. It is just getting from page to page which is slow. Any ideas on
what this may be? Thank You

Hi Mike,

What a coincedence?! My name is Mike also, and I am
experiencing the exact same problem. This reply isn't
going to help you. I thought I would add to your inquiry,
I want to know how to fix this issue too. It has been
driving me nuts trying to figure it out.

Well I hope someone will answer your post soon. That makes
two of us Mikes that need help.

Some spyware will check home every time you browse to a new page. Check it
out.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.
