Amazing Problem with Internet Explorer

Hi all,
I am facing this amazing problem with Internet Explorer lately.Even though
my internet connection is proper and I can view the web pages using Mozilla
Firefox, when I try the same with Interent Explorer, it just displays the
page cannot be displayed.
But when I open one of the folders in my laptop and type in a URL,it opens
fine with Internet Explorer this way.But if I open IE direcctly, it says the
page cannot be displayed.
I am just curious to know what might be the possible reasons for that to
happen.Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated.

You have probably been infected with malware.

Thanks a lot,
I tried an anti malware software and deleted those malware, even then IE
works the same way.Is there any other software which will be useful in
detecting and removing the malware?
