Ok Guys. It has been a long time since I upgraded my PC.
It is 2G socket A with 1G DDR1-400
I was hopping to keep onto my memory, and was looking at 939 series
this seems now to be outdated by AM2.
The board that I have been looking at now is M2N-MX-SE, but I think I
have to
bin my DDR1's Is that correct for this board. I initialy want to keep
the cost down.
Acording to Asus PDF file on this I don't need to put 2 chips in. I
can put one in
either socket. If I want 2 chips they have to be the same
(electronicaly).
Question is do I have to loose the DDR1's and if I do put 2 512Meg
chips in
have I got 512 or 1024.
Desmond.
P.S. I don't want RAID. I hate it. If you don't have 2 HDDs it hangs
for a bit.
DVDs are only 15p each. I can back up as much as I want't But I need
to turn the RAID off Totaly.
