Am unable to switch logon to administrator.

When I logoff the "switch to" message does not appear.
The user accounts in control panel shows only one user,
and that is a guest account. Administrator still appears
as the one member of the administrative group.
How I caused this to happen, I really don't know.
I have been trying to establish a peer to peer lan, and I
may have caused the above problems during that
(unsuccessful) effort.
What can I do to get logged in as administrator?

Choice #1: The Welcome screen won't show the Administrator account. You
have to use the secret handshake on that screen: hit Ctrl+Alt+Del twice.
That will display the classic login screen.

Choice #2: Configure to NOT use the Welcome screen and instead use the
classic login screen. That way you don't reveal to anyone that powers up
your computer half of the login information (i.e., the username).

You should NOT use the Administrator Account as a day-to-day usage account.
It is the ONLY way into your machine if your user log-in goes belly up.
Create a user and give it Admin rights for daily use. Also disable the guest
account as well.
