I was removing my cpu cooler and broke the plastic frame that mounts
the cooler. I've checked a few places for a replacement, but it doesn't
seem to be distributed seperately. Does anyone know of a place that
supplies hard to find parts like this? I've got an Intel Midway P4
motherboard. I would google it, but I don't even know what the piece is
called.

You'll have to figure out what socket your board uses and
whether your heatsink needs a special proprietary bracket or
not. Then use a search engine, for example;

Ebay is another good place to look.

I think you are better off buying an upgraded type. You can get decent
ones for under $40.

I've got a dead board with that bracket on it, what part of the world are
you in?

Thanks. CompUSA told me it would only be available with a new system
board, and I sure didn't want to go that route.

X-No-Archive: yes

Did you break the entire thing or only one of the legs? If you have at
least two opposite legs intact then you can make it work.
