I have just bought a new computer that has XP Home/IE6
pre-loaded and have installed MS Office 97. The problem
is that in some web pages usually at a sites home page
give me the option in my tool bar to edit with MS Word or
Note Pad. However, when I go into the lets call them sub-
pages the option to edit with Word is lost either because
the option is not offered inmy tool bar or the "Word"
symbol on the tool bar switches its self off and just
goes a shade of grey.
I have also tried in IE6 Tools/Internet
Options/Programmes and selcted HTML editor as MS Word for
windows 97 - but to no avail.
Also had a look at MS Office 97/98 resource kit over at
http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/Index/W.HTM but again
to no avail. - I do not even know if I am looking in the
right place as I am a computer novice.
As a demonstration of my problem I am trying to write a
business plan at www.business-planner.co.uk and when I
press the generate button all I get is a lot of
symbols/code - this was not the case with my old
computer.
If any one can help I would be very pleased.

PS Am I asking this question in the right forum?
