I find the message, You need Java Virtual Machine to. I
try to download and it tells me I need a later version of
windows , and to go to windows up-date. I do and nothing
tells me how to get Java virtual on my computer, am I
just thick ?. I know I am computer ilitrate and 64yrs.
but having spent $1000 just a few months ago, I expect to
be able to use my equipment, HELP.

Phewy! Dont use Suns Java.
Court order.. yeah right.. MS won the case and THEY
CHOOSE NOT TO make it available to users. But there is
alternate ways of installing Virtual Machine.
Goto...

and grab virtual machine from them.
Note: Virtual Machines current build is 3810.
You need to install 3809 or 3805 BEFORE you install 3810.

Microsoft did win.
As you say, Microsoft does not have to provide Sun Java.
However Microsoft can not distribute Microsoft Virtual Machine after
January 2004 and that part did not change.
