Sure I can't spell it , but maybe I have something here.
I think the junk mail filter of Outlook 2003 works pretty darn well.
Still, why not take it a step farther, and bounce each piece of junk mail
back to the sender with a "This address does not exist" message.

If everyone did it, it would really throw these spammers off, don't you
think.
True, spammers use fake emails, so how bout bouncing it back to the
postmaster of the domain of the URL that we are supposed to visit.

Smart, or just another idiot with a keyboard? (me I mean)

I think the last one; sorry.

It is very easy to fake the domin as well so you bounce to the wrong one or
bounce back to yourself again when the domain doesn't exist. This will
INCREASE the unneeded mail going over the lines even more. One spam message
to you, one back to the postmaster and most likely an undeliverable message
back to you. I don't think that is what you want, right? ;-)

I believe MailWasher (or another anti-spam tool) does have this option
already though.

Well - I think the Junk Mail function in Office 2003 works VERY well - Why
not get Microsoft to release it as a stand alone Junk Mail filter programme?
Bill G. could sell it and make at least $20 or $30 more dollars!

Regards

Good to hear you like it. I'm not sure about releasing it as a standalone
product as it integrates with Outlook and of course Bill wants you to use
his mail client (which includes the Junk Mail filter).

Yeap!

But, you have to view the email header and grab the Return-
Path: ,many mpammer use a different email, in those cases
the Reply-To: adress are used to confirm that your email
is valid.
