I just need to know how to enable (un-gray) the “Always use this program to open these files†check box.
I got an email attachment that Ms Word will open but every time I open and e-mail with this file extension, I have to go through lengthy steps to open it. I can not check the “Always use the selected program to open this kind of file†because it’s grayed out. How can I choose the selected program to open this kind of file automatically from this point forward if this box does not give me the option? I read KBA 257592 but I need a specific answer on how to do just this.
Is it a policy or registry change I need to make? If so how do I do this?
