Well, that gave me a chuckle.<g>
A program to protect you from adware that's adware supported!

AdProtector adprotector.com
protectorsuite.com
redv.net adware-supported by RedV Network (1, 2); download link
broken? no trial version? [A: 6-26-04 / U: 6-26-04]

Apparently this may be a difficult one to remove, but you can get help here:

I would begin with HijackThis!, but no matterwhat solution you chose, make
certain that you TURN OFF System Restore BEFORE rebooting the system. If you
do not, any removals made will be "restored". Thus, you have a recurring
problem.

This is Threat Remediation 101.

Scott,

I surely wouldn't want to argue this point with you, as I suspect you're
better qualified than I, but on every malware removal site I've visited I
see the recommendation/requirement for the online scans before HJT. Let me
give an example of a cleanup:

Your comments would be appreciated.

In this instance, he already HAS, and it failed to identify any problem.
There is greater certainty that another scan will produce a different reult.

Semantics aside, HJT! may reveal a compromise that is not clearly defined in
any number of products' signature databases.

Were I the one doing the forensics, I would perform six to eight scans
before digging in with HJT! My motto: NEVER trust the opinion of any one
anti-threat tool, because 15 out of 16 times it could be DEAD WRONG!
