When I am trying to copy files from my computer to an external hard drive, a
window comes with showing the files being transfered, etc. In the window,
there is also an arrow that says "More Information" which increases the size
of the window and shows the speed of the transfer and how many items are
remaining. I was wondering if there is a way to make this window (the one
with more information) the default window that pops up when you are copying
files.

Thanks.

I've got the same question. I tried combing through the registry, but didn't
see anything that "jumped out" as a switch. I'm keeping my eyes open, though.

Thanks for bring this up. I don't think that the shorter window should even
be an option. IT shoud always read all the information. Why wouldn't we
all want to see the full paths from where we are copying from and to where we
are copying to? Alot of Vista makes no sense to me. I don't think it was
well thought out before it was released. I find most of Windows "File
Explorer" horribly hard to understand and to work within. Is Vista suppose
to be made more for companies that have alot of people on a network? Why all
the permissions if only one person is using the computer? Well I could go on
and on, but I want to know the same thing, how do i make it stay with the
longer information.
