Some of our users are prompted to save changes after "reading" every email message. This is true whether or not they make changes. We are using Outlook 2002 with Exchange Server 2003. Help!
1. Is Word the email editor? If so, does the problem occur with Outlook as
the email editor?
2. Do you have any client-side anti-virus add-ins? You can find installed
add-ins under Tools - Options - Other - Advanced Options - Addin Manager. If
so, what happens if you disable the add-in and restart Outlook?
Thanks

This happens when a message is actually opened and viewed. As soon as you try to close the message, either by selecting close from the file menu or clicking the X, you get the prompt to save changes. The PC is running XP Pro. There are many other machines running the same basic software, some with XP and some with Win98SE. Only one other seems to be experiencing this problem and it is running 98SE
Thank

This is with open messages or previewed? If they open html messages to read
them this often happens when external content is downloaded
