There are a bunch of programs that launch on startup (ADSL for example) where I do not want the icons to display. So I set them to "Always Hide" in taskbar - properties - Customise.
One of them - "A network cable is unplugged" always resets itself to "Always show" whenever the machine boots. I know the network cable is unplugged - the pesky machine is on a WiFi network and there's never a network cable plugged in.
Anyone know how to stop it resetting itself to "Always show"? I suppose I could remove the LAN driver altogether, but if I do that, I just know I'll need to plug in a LAN cable the next day.
