I have Windows 98 installed with IE 6.0 and all the
current updates installed. When I check "Always dial my
default connection" under Internet Settings in Internet
Explorer 6.0, the computer tries to connect to the
internet every time that I start the computer. I only
want to make a connection when I open Internet Explorer.
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Alton

I am having the same problem with my connection except
that even if I tell it to "never dial a connection", it
does anyway. Even if I don't start I.E., it will try to
dial by itself. I posted this problem on the 24th and
have heard nothing yet.
