Does anyone know of any freeware or low cost TV Tuner software that
would work with an existing ATI graphics/tv tuner card that I have?

Thanks

If you already have Winamp, there's the TV plugin for Winamp, but the
developer has stopped working on it. It worked OK for me but I have
since started using KMPlayer, a free media player which does TV too. KMP
has its own internal codecs which can play about anything.

TVTime and mplayer both might work and they are definitely free.

Media Portal, GB-PVR and ATI's own MMC.

Have to guess that your not asking about an antique.

Thanks for those links. Unfortunately it looks like the tv tuner part
of my card has stopped functioning completely now. I have the Sapphire
AIW 9600. My system is getting a bit long in the tooth now though so
will probably be updating sometime this year anyway to a new system. I
will probably going to have to buy a new tv tuner card. Think I will
get graphics card and tv tuner card as separate items this time round.

If in the USA, make sure to get a ATSC capable card (and if on cable , one
that does QAM too). If you buy an NTSC only card, you will regret it in Feb
2009.
