Anyone have good experience with a systray icon manager other than tray
wizard that they would recommend? Tray wizard is nice in concept but it is
somewhat flakey with my icons.

TrayManager v2.0
ftp://ftp.pmbc.com/pub/shareware/win95/traymgr.zip
Windows 95, Windows 98
DESCRIPTION:
Over time, the tray can become so cluttered with icons that you have
to really hunt to find the one you want. TrayManager lets you replace
your less- used tray icons with a single icon that gives access to the
other icons. Right- click on the TrayManager icon to access the other
items in the tray.

I use it and like it.

Hello,
p.s. 2nd link doesn't work but first does.

sorry 'bout that. I see this error the first time now,
it is something with my provider. I'll work on that :-(

Thorsten

I know what you mean about it being flakey...does it keep dropping your
Virus Checker's icon back into the Sys Tray? This is the only icon that mine
drops and I think it has something to do with updates to the virus checker.
It does lose the captions from icons, though so I may switch too.

There were two or three of mine that kept reappearing on the tray in spite
of repeated attempts to hide them. I have switched to "Effective Desktop" on
the recommendation from Thorsten and others here. I like it much, much
better.
