can anyone recommend a simple, basic video clip media player less
intrusive than Real Player or Windows Media player? Thanks in advance

It is forced on me by big brother. I can't get rid of it.

It is not forced on you by MS, but rather there if you choose to use it.
You can disable it for specific file types, or choose an alternative
default media application, under Control Panel|ADD/REMOVE|WINDOWS ACCESS &
DEFAULTS.

While WMP may well be the most competent player, no one media player
handles ALL common file types. QuickTime may come the closest to that
ideal, but it lacks support for some proprietary file types. And QT, Real
Players and others can be just as annoying as WMPlayer, depending upon how
they are configured.

if it is not forced by someone or some entity into my computer, tell me
how to delete it, please. thank you
