alternative for word

Am installing hard drive for lady whose present hard drive crashed. She had
microsoft word pre installed, so does not have an installation cd. What
other program could I download that would satisfy her as much as word
evidently did. Thanks for any help

You can try openoffice (openoffice.org)
Exceprt hits weight , it's a good choice.

I started thinking something odd was going on in alt.comp.freeware
