in outlook my "from" box automatically defaults to the email from me and that
is the email address issued to me by my ISP that I entered at inception.

I want my default email to read a different email which corresponds not to
my ISP but to my web site and email service by my web hosters?

for example my outlook says that my emails are from (e-mail address removed)

in my signature block i type my small company details and include my company
website and my email which is (e-mail address removed) etc how do i get this
email to appear as a default in the "from" box?

Enter it in tools/accounts in your email account. The first email account is
your identiy. Usually, you can enter any sender name you like, if you isp is
checking the sender email address, you need to provider also
authentification information for this email address.

I hope those are the real addresses you included in your post. If so, 'bots
will harvest your addresses and either send you SPAM and viruses or else use
your address as the sender for the SPAM and viruses. Never post real
addresses in a newsgroup.

The From field is useful in an Exchange environment. You want the sender
value of the account to reflect the address you want the recipient to see.
Modify the "E-mail Address" value in the account properties.

thanks for the reply and they were dummy addressess for that reason.
However i am not sure when you refer to account properties how i would do
that. For example I have now realised that the initial entry i put into to
set up the account under tools/emailaccounts is the one that appears and i
have tried altering this but my isp expects it to say what it issued. I could
try setting up others but with my isp they all end up with the same suffix.

i dont know how to get into account properties?

Good.

Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next.

You can include anything you want in the E-mail Address field in the account
dialogue. As long as you authenticate properly to your ISP, they won't
care. I have multiple accounts defined and, while I use the same ISP for
all of them, they each have a different E-mail Address so that I can present
the mail address I wish as the sending address. I use the Accounts button
to choose.
