Hi,

Is there any way of showing an alternate (and shorter, my target is to get
more large text items on a screen in a bulleted list) text after animation
of a text item (instead of changing its text color or dimming it)???

Thanks a lot,
Edwin.

which version of PowerPoint are you using? Especially animation features
have changed a lot from versions 97 + 2000 to 2002 (and 2003)!

A possibility would be to use text boxes: Position a box with your "short
text" ON a box with your "long text". When you proceed to the next item,
make the long text disappear and the short text appear.

Kind regards,

I am using PowerPoint 2002. I already used 2 text boxes positioned on each
other as a solution for quite a while, I was only hoping there existed a
more convenient solution for this problem. Thanks a lot anyhow,

Edwin.

Hi Edwin,

even in PowerPoint 2002 you cannot animate part of a text in a text box. But
IMHO it makes animation a lot easier. You can combine animations using "With
previous" and thus save some mouse clicks when viewing your presentation.

Kind regards,
Ute
