Hi Robert,
Go to Start/Run and type in msconfig. Click the Startup tab and uncheck
startup item taskswitch. After restarting your computer, Windows reverts
back to the classic task switcher.
Go to Start/Run/Regedit and modify these registry values:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
"CoolSwitch"
"CoolSwitchColumns"
"CoolSwitchRows"
....to reflect how many columns and rows, respectively, you want to appear in
the Alt+Tab cool switch display.

Tried that--even uninstalling from "Add and Remove ..."
deleting file in DOWNLOADED ..., redownloading from MS
site, and re-installing. NADA. This may require serious
searching the registery.
Still looking for hints.
Thanks

[Sorry if this is a repost, previous one has not yet
appeared.]
After "repairing" my Office that was suggested after I
installed the latest version of a virus scan, I lost the
nice "Alt-Tab Switch" utility. Try as I might, I cannot
get it back. Any hints?
If you talk about the ALT-TAB Powertoy: this is
available from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoy
s.asp. It may
still be on your computer in the WINDOWS\DOWNLOADED INSTALLATIONS
folder. Right-click the MSI file and choose "Install"
to
reinstall
.
