My problem's a lot like Spences. XP is on my old 8GB HD,
after i set up all my new hardware, it saw the drive in
the hardware manager, but didn't show it as a drive in my
computer or anywhere else. Does this mean i have to
format it? Its 80GB, is there anyway for me to simply
transfer xp and everything else to the new drive? It's on
IDE1 and its on the middle drive plug. It's set to slave
too, i uninstalled it now so how do i get it too work
right away?

Install new hd as slave, then in management Format the new hd.
To move XP and all thats on the old disk requires a third party tool eg
Ghost, though some new hd's come with a tool to do this.

ok, i got it up, but when i go to create a partition, and
format it, it only gives me the option of making it NTFS
instead of FAT32 like my other drive. how do i get it to
FAT32 instead of NTFS, will it still work if both HDs are
different formats?

I have 98 on one HD and 2000 in one partition and XP in
another partition on a different HD. 98 cannot be NTFS,
but the system will boot to any of the three with no
issues. XP and 2000 are NTFS and can read FAT32, but 98
does not see the other drives.
