Already Activated

I have a new client who had a server installed for them. It has Windows 2003
Server Enterprise Edition. When it was installed I assume a legitimate copy
was not used. Now when you hit Ctrl-Alt-Del it says it must be activated and
when I say yes to activate it says that it is already activated. I saw a post
that said to go into safe mode and replace a .dbl file with a .bak file but
the .bak file did not exist. The client has a legitimate License and CD key.
How can I activate it properly if it says it is already activated? Please
help since they are not able to work using Remote desktop and the server
disconnects users often.

When you attempt to activate again, call the number. Explain your scenario
to the service person, and see if they can validate the key you are using.
If so, they will provide you with a code that will activate it.

There is no legal way for you to activate that system without placing a
phone call to Microsoft.
