When I need to send a new email, I select "New" and then "To" where I am able
to select my Contacts from my Contacts list. My problem is that the contacts
are listed in alphabetical order by first name. I need them to be listed in
order by last name. How do I go about making this happen?

Thank you for your time.

You don't state your Outlook version, so the following assumes OL 2002/2003.

In Outlook (not the address book), click Tools>E-mail Accounts>View or
change existing directories or address books>Next. Select the Outlook
Address Book and click Change. Select the sort order in the "Show names by"
section at the bottom.

For OL 98/2000 in Corporate/Workgroup mode, click Tools>Services>Outlook
Address Book>Properties to access that same dialogue page, IIRC. I don't
know how to do it for OL 98/2000 in IMO mode.
