My contacts is a long list. At present the tabs to the right list the
alphabet as ab, cd, etc. If, for instance, I want to go to the d listing, it
takes me to the beginning of the c's.

Is there a way I can change this to individual listing, such as: a, b, c,
d, etc.?

Have you tried using the window in your toolbar that says "Type a contact to
find" you can go straight to any Contact by typing their first name,
surname or company name. even Gra Jo will get you Graham Johston very
quickly.

Thank you! No, I never once thought about this method. I will try this to
see if it keeps my frustration level down.

Got another question in Outlook you may know the answer to. I utilize the
birthday and anniversary section to send cards to those I want to remember.
It reminds me a week or so before the event, as it should. Then if I don't
remember the date it tells me the event is a day overdue, or a week overdue.
This is not the problem, because I can either respond to the message or
delete it.

The problem is this, when you enter the information it enters it with the
current year. Therefore, when the date comes up next year, the message will
prompt that the event is a year overdue. Is there anyway that the year can
be eliminated. After all, the person's birthdate is not the current year, is
it?

Thanks, again, for your input. It helped greatly. ...Jan

Thanks for the Thank you - rarely get them even though many people give a
lot of their time here!

I can see that it's a bit stupid to say it's overdue by a year but don't
know of any way to fix it. I call it an example of Microsoft illogic!
