Can someone tell me how to sort the contacts alphabetically by last name?
When I go to the "To" box in a new message - I want it to be sorted by last
name (not first).

Thanks!

Tools>Account Settings>Address Books. Select the Outlook Address Book,
click Change. You should be able to specify the sort order there. I
believe it requires stopping anbd restarting Outlook.

This works in the sense of when you go to your contacts folder - they are
sorted by last name (or whatever you select). When you go to a new email - it
still shows the contacts sorted by first name. Any more ideas?

The change I mentioned doesn't affect how the Contacts folder is displayed.
That's always the File As order. The Address Book interface, though, can be
displayed either in File As order or in First Last order. After making the
change I suggested, did you stop and restart Outlook?

Yes - I also tried it on two different computers to rule out problems with
the PC (just in case).

Can you generate a few screenshots of where you clicked and what, post those
shots on an image-sharing web site (www.xsolive.com has a place, for
example), and then post links to those shots?
