I created a new database for the local art center and
imported their old alpha 4 ver. 3 database into the new
one. I can't figure out how to copy info from the old base
table into the new table. There are 2154 records in the old
which I don't want to retype. I have tried to create 2154
blank records in the new database table, open both in
spreadsheet view to copy and paste, but that failed.

Any ideas would be great!

Thank you,
Elaine

Try linking to the old database table and use an Append Query to import the
information or see if you can just import the old table and adjust it to
your liking.

If you have already imported then you can use an append query if you wish to
move the information to a new table.
If not then Alpha 4 will export to a text file and either is or will export
to a dBase file.
