Allowing management to view open files

Hello there,

I have a bit of a strange request, one of my senior managers is interested
in viewing which users has what files opened by any user. besides, windows
management I don't know of any other way of allowing management access to
view open files by other users, although the directory are tied down by
department access he still want to see who is where.

Is there a software out there that allows one to view a file system layout
and who is in what folder without being on the server?

Hey Ramy,

Hmm that is strange, it's like Big Brother at your office. I have
never used any of this software before so I cannot vouche for them,
but here are some useful links.

The only way I know how to monitor computer use is manually via a
remote terminal that your senior manager will have and some sort of
VNC-ish (although not interacting with the users workstation like VNC)
system. In other words, like a security camera (or snapshot camera)
of each workstation. The links above provide some similar systems to
this notion.

That should be enough to scare the workers at the company into
productive submission... ;)
