Allowing .csv format to open in Notepad

Vista has another annoying quirk. I download my cell phone information from
the company, and am offered 2 formats, .xls (Excel) or .csv (Comma
Delimited), and since I don't have Excel software, I have always opted for
the .csv which would automatically open in Notepad after the download.
Vista doesn't recognize this format, and since it still works in Notepad, I
have to manually open Notepad before I can get the information into there
before inserting it into a Works spreadsheet. The .csv format doesn't
appear in the list of extensions to open with included programs. How can I
add that format to the list so I can make Notepad it's default program? It
always worked correctly in XP.

Right-click on a .csv file, select "Open with" - "Choose Default Program"
since Notepad isn't listed, click on [Browse..].
navigate to C:\Windows and select notepad.exe
ok
[x] Always use the selected program to open this kind of file
OK

Thanks. That worked. So simple, I should have remembered that little bit
of info.
