Am having to allow another person to update their
section's part of the corporate website. Have not
determined exactly how to take care of this. The section
has their pages in a separate folder.

Could someone help me in the correct way to implement
this? I am running FrontPage 2000 on IIS 4.0. I need to
know how to grant permission to a user to publish updates
to their section/pages on the website.

Thank you for any assistance that may be giving.

The best way to do this is to put their content into it's own sub web and
only give them access to that sub web so they can't change anything else on
the site. To do this:

1. Right click on the folder and choose Convert to Web. The folder will
change to a folder with a globe.
2. Double-click the folder to open the sub web.
3. Choose Tools, Security, Permission from the tool bar.
4. Select UNIQUE Permissions from the root.
5. Click the Users tab and select the user(s) you want to be able to access
the site and give them Author and Browse access only. Make sure you have
yourself in there with Administer access.

Thank you, I will try this. Will this affect the way the
website actually works? If not then this is really great.

Thanks again.
