I am trying to set up user account that ables to configure
or to change IP address by it's own. I found out that
only administrator group can change IP. I look at every
security options but couln't find one to allow user to
change IP. Is this can be done? Please Help. Thanks in
advance.

You need to be an administator to change IP addresses in W2K or know
administrator credentials. XP Pro has the network configuration operators
group to allow regular users to change most settings without being an

You don't mention the operating system, but in most you have to be a
local administrator to do this. You might be able to script it
though.

Why would a user need to change an IP address?
