My problem is that on one machine I have installed Eudora,
(I did this before the machine joint the domain) When I
start it Eudora says "make this program your default mail
client" if you click yes it says "unable to perform this
operation as the program was unable to edit the registry"

How can I go about allowing the program to access and
modify the registry? Or do I need to allow the user to
access/modify registry?

I suggest a Eudora forum or site's Help in order to find just what
changes (what key and where) are required. You say you are joined to a
domain. That likely means you should consult the local system
administrator for these problems.

regedt32.exe can alter registry permissions (if you are allowed to do
so).
