Allow only Insert Data permission

Using Switchboard, I managed to put restrictions on a form, i.e. Button 1
allows user to Add data to the form, Button 2 allows user to Edit data, and
Button 3 allows full data permissions.

Is it possible to assign a user permission to insert data only? This is
because whenever I tick the checkbox for "Insert Data" in User & Groups
Permissions, it will automatically tick "Read Data" as well..

I need user to enter data only (data entry clerk), via Button 1. But when
Button 2 is pressed, they shouldn't be able to see the records.

In my test, using the user permission Insert Data and Read Data, when Button
2 is clicked, user can see all the records, although the records cannot be
edited.

That's the way it is - users need to be able to read data in a table in
order to be able to add/insert records.

I don't see a difference between these two. Data entry property on the form
will mean the form will open showing no records, but allow records to be
added/inserted. You say button 2 is to edit data, but you don't want them
to see records. Edit usually refers to modifying existing records - how do
you expect them to do this if they can't see existing records?

Please clarify.
