Allow filtering - prevent editing

Is there a way to prevent other users to edit anything in a spreadsheet (except for me), but still give them the ability to filter the spreadsheet? I have put the "auto-filter" on but when I protect the sheet it does not allow me or anyone to filter/sort for their convenience.

I appreciate your responxe, however, it still does not allow the filtering. The buttons (arrows) are there to push, but nothing happens when I click on them. Should I only be protecting certain parameters of the sheet (ie. contents, objects, scenarios)? Should I be protecting the workbook instead of just the sheet? Not sure why this isn't working. Is it possible I have clicked on something else that would be preventing the filtering? Thanks again in advance for your response

If the AutoFilter is already in place, you can protect the sheet, and
allow users to filter the data. There are instructions here

Not that I know of, sorry.

Which version of Excel are you using?

If you used the Workbook_Open code, did you store it on the ThisWorkbook
module? Did you change the sheet name and password to match those in
your workbook?

What version of Excel are you using?

If you're not sure, open Excel and choose Help>About Microsoft Excel
The version is listed at the to of the dialog box.
