Allow fast save Option

According to the help information in my MS Excel 2002,
there is supposed to be a check box; Allow fast saves,
under the Options Tab Save. This check box is not there.
Does any one have an answer for this and if so does the
Option/feature actually work? Thank you.

Are you sure that you're not thinking of Word rather than Excel? Word
has that option, which saves only the changes that you've made during
that session rather than the whole document. (It makes for faster
saves, but blows out the size of your document which is why it's
advisable to do full saves periodically.) I don't recall seeing any
similar option in Excel.
