If I want to attach an url file Outlook blocks it.
How can I modify Outlook so it can accpet these attachments

Because secure versions of Outlook block shortcut files, I recommend that
you use a little free add-in for Internet Explorer when you want to send
someone a link to a page. You can get MailTo_URL from
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/gallery/index.htm#mailto. It adds an "Email
Page" command to the right-click menu in IE and uses the title of the page
for the subject of the mail message.

Make sure that the registry entry you create to tell IE where to find the
application matches the location where you save the program.

Sorry to jump in on your string, but I had the same
problem today and was curious... At my work on one
machine currently blocks these URL link attachments, from
being opened... And this is only a recent thing... We all
run basically the same machine, all run XP and all have
Outlook 2000, but only one machine blocks receiving URL
links, and this just started hapening to her.. So I am
curious as to way this might be all of a sudden
happening... Sorry again to intrude...

If you have a mail server check if you're blocking to receive .url as
attachments.

The problem I have is sending from mail clients the .url
